There is an easy thing that men may do to raise their confront on approaching women and meeting women.

If you feel awkward in any situation, it means that you are approaching this situation on too high a gradient. Rather than trying to escape from the scenario, lower the gradient.

What are gradients? Gradients are similar to steps on a ladder. By trying to go to the top of the ladder on your first step, it will be extremely hard to accomplish, and you may fail. If you keep trying it repeatedly you will begin to build up a complex about failing, and soon not try anymore.

By trying to skip up five or six steps on your first attempt, it will also be terrifying -- not necessarily impossible but scary. And the probability is that if you have no experience leaping that high you will not be successful .

The best approach is to take the initial step and then move forward one-step at a time. It is the most comfortable way to climb a ladder.

While I was a young guy I would observe a woman I was fascinated by and believed I had to tell her how much I liked her straight away. Well that was jumping up several steps on the ladder. I knew nothing about her.

The first step is a simple "Hi" along with a smile. Then keep walking. Get confident just saying "Hi" to girls. Then as the next step when they say "Hi" back or ask you a question, answer the question, or comment on something which she has her attention on to continue the conversation. For example, if you are in a book shop and she is taking a look at a book on cooking, ask her what she thinks of that book. Is it any good?

Conversations develop naturally. Do not push it. Get to know her before you decide that you like her.

Needless to say, there is a whole lot more to it, however these are good basics to start with. If you are using gradients ultimately you will learn how to meet women.
